The first step of any transition process is to determine the starting point. We also work with you to gain an understanding of the business and financial requirements for the transition. This information allows us jointly develop a consolidated view of the transition requirements and their priorities.

Once we have developed a good understanding of the transition requirements, we work jointly to determine the scope, timing, and resources necessary to implement the transition. Depending on your requirements, this plan can range in scope from training and a simple pilot project plan, to the development of a complete application transition strategy and plan.

We can assist you in this area by offering detailed skills assessments of your organization. Following this assessment we can help you develop individual and organization level training plans to bring your organization’s skills in line with the requirements of the new technology.
Customized .Net Training
Notions Systems has developed a highly detailed .Net training course. In addition to offering this training to our customers, we have also used it to train our own resources in .NET. We can customize this material to your organization’s exact training requirements. We can focus the material on specific features of the platform that your organization will be using, and eliminate unneeded topics. We can also incorporate your standards and processes into the material. This material can be delivered to your organization by one of Notion’s qualified instructors, or be licensed by your organization for delivery by your own instructors.
Tool / Standard / Methodology Definition
The transition to the .Net platform may mean that your organization needs to select and implement new application development tools, 3rd-party components, development standards, and design methodologies. Through our own transition to .Net we have already evaluated tools and components, and developed standards and methodologies to support the new platform. We can work with you organization to determine how best to evolve your development environment and process to support the .Net platform.

With any new set of technologies it is always best to learn by doing. To support you organization in this process, we can work with you from beginning to end of your first .Net development projects.
